Hong Kong Projects

Oscar Ho’s research focuses on the heritage preservation movement triggered by the dismantling of Star Ferry Pier at the Central District of Hong Kong in 2006. The research studies the different tactics the community/cultural groups employed through the employment of various forms of artistic/curatorial intervention. It also studies the motivations behind these movements, the missions and objectives of these activist organizations, and their significance within the cultural and political context of post-1997 Hong Kong.
